Joint Thomian Emergency Initiative -Phase 3
Phase 3 of the Joint Thomian Emergency Initiative was successfully carried out in support of schoolchildren affected by Cyclone Ditwah and its aftermath. Through this phase, essential school supplies, footwear, uniforms, stationery, and learning materials were distributed across seven schools, including Meemure schools, Maddegamuwa Primary School (Gampola), Vidyakara Maha Vidyalaya (Poramadulla – Rikillagaskada), Paragala Sinhala School (Udahenthenna – Gampola), Wijaya College (Chilaw), Muriyakulam Vidyalaya (Puttalam), and St. Peter Claver Institute (Chilaw).
A total sum of Rs. 3,636,444.40 was spent in Phase 3, directly benefiting hundreds of children and helping them return to school with dignity and confidence. This initiative was made possible through the collective efforts of S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia, S. Thomas’ College Gurutalawa, S. Thomas’ Preparatory School Old Boys’ Union, and S. Thomas’ College Bandarawela Old Boys’ Association.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all donors, volunteers, and partners who came together in true Thomian spirit to make this effort meaningful and impactful.

She is the beloved mother of Monroe Jayasuriya (1999 Batch) and the loving sister of Ms. Blodwen Weeratunga, who also served as a teacher at Prep.
