A Milestone for S. Thomas’ Preparatory School! 🚌💙
This morning (1st July), a Bus for S.Thomas’ Preparatory School was officially entrusted to the students at a special blessing and handover ceremony.
This significant milestone was made possible in part through the proceeds of the Prep School Carnival. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous sponsors, donors, parents, old boys, and everyone who supported and attended the carnival. Your contributions have helped turn the long-held dream of having our own mode of transportation into a reality.
The bus was blessed by our Chaplain, Rev. Lakshman Daniel, a proud alumnus of the Prep School. Following the blessing, the Headmaster, Chaplain, Sectional Heads, members of staff, the Head Prefect, and members of the Executive Committee of the Old Boys’ Union had the honour of taking the inaugural ride on the new school bus.
Here’s to many safe journeys and wonderful memories ahead! 💙

Nilhan Niles, a brilliant student and Prefect during his school days, was a loyal Prepite and a live wire in the Class of 1986, who are very active in the life of Prep School. This picture was taken of the members of the Class of 86 who attended the AGM of the OBU in May 2026. Nilhan is in the dark blue shirt.
Nilhan was a Senior Lecturer and former Head of Department at the Department of Textile & Apparel Engineering of the University of Moratuwa.
